eGovPH is the Philippine government's official super app — one download that puts national IDs, licenses, health services, and dozens of agency transactions in your pocket. It is developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and it is free on Android and iOS. This is an independent guide, not the DICT and not the official app page.

Quick facts

  • What it is: The Philippine government's official mobile super app, launched in 2023 by the DICT.
  • Scale: Over 40 million downloads by early 2026, integrated with more than 1,000 government systems. DICT targets 60 million users by 2028.
  • What it replaces: Long lines, repeat visits to multiple agencies, and fixers — President Marcos's pitch has been "no lines, no fixer, no corruption."
  • Key services: PhilSys digital national ID, driver's license renewal, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, GSIS, eTravel declaration, NBI clearance, eTIN.
  • New in 2026: eGovAI ("Kuya A"), a free AI assistant powered by Google Gemini for verified users.
  • Recognition: UN E-Government Award from UN DESA, plus the 2025 GovMedia Digital Transformation of the Year award in Singapore.

What the eGovPH app actually does

Before eGovPH, dealing with the government meant dealing with each agency separately — a different portal, a different login, a different queue for the LTO, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and the PSA. eGovPH stitches them together. You verify your identity once, and the app becomes a single front door to the agencies it has integrated with.

The headliner service is the PhilSys digital national ID. With around 90 million Filipinos covered by the digital national ID system, the app lets you pull up your national ID on your phone and use it for identity verification across services. That integration is also what keeps fake accounts out — identity is anchored to a real, verified record. Our guide to accessing your PhilSys digital national ID on eGovPH walks through where it appears in the app and what to do when it doesn't show up.

For everyday transactions, the big ones are driver's license renewal with the LTO, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG services, and GSIS for government workers. The app also handles the eTravel declaration for international travelers — the arrival and departure form that used to be a separate website — which we cover step by step in how to complete your eTravel declaration in the eGovPH app. NBI clearance application and renewal, plus BIR's electronic TIN (eTIN) system, have been added to the roadmap announced by the President.

How to register and set up your account

Download only the official app — DICT has repeatedly warned against fake eGovPH websites and lookalike apps, and copycats are one of the most common ways people get phished. The official listings are published by the DICT. After installing, you register with your personal details and go through identity verification, which includes a face scan against your records. That selfie step trips up a lot of people, so we wrote a dedicated guide: eGovPH face verification: how to fix selfie scan errors. Good lighting, a plain background, and no hat or sunglasses solve most failures.

Full walkthrough here: how to register and set up your eGovPH account. If you hit login problems, MPIN errors, or the app won't connect, see troubleshooting eGovPH: login, MPIN, and network errors before reinstalling — most issues are account-side, not app-side.

eGovAI: the AI assistant inside the app

In 2026 DICT added eGovAI — nicknamed "Kuya A" — a free AI assistant for verified eGovPH users, built by DICT's own developers on Google Gemini. It answers questions about government services, extracts data from documents, translates between languages, identifies images, and can pull up laws, policies, and guidelines. It also includes eKYC with liveness checks to harden identity verification. President Marcos's message at the launch was to use it "wisely, responsibly, and ethically" — technology sharpening judgment, not replacing it. The Top 30 teams of the eGovPH Hackathon 2026 were recognized at the same event.

Services worth knowing about

Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth. You can link both and handle contributions, loans, and membership records without visiting a branch. Details: linking your Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth services via eGovPH.

OFW and travel services. Immigration and customs documents for overseas Filipino workers sit alongside the eTravel declaration, so frequent travelers can stop juggling separate portals.

Job support and social services. The app includes biodata creation for job applications plus access to financial and medical assistance programs and citizen help desks.

What's coming. DICT has said future updates will add academic records — diplomas and transcripts — and more government-issued certificates. The physical eGovPH Serbisyo Hubs (like the one in Mandaue City, Cebu, hosting SSS, PSA, DOLE, DOH, and DSWD desks) run in parallel for people who still need in-person help.

Is your data safe on eGovPH?

It's the right question for an app holding your national ID. The DICT says security is anchored on the digital national ID verification, which automates out fake users, plus eKYC and liveness checks. We dug into the details — what data is collected, how it's used, and what the risks actually are — in eGovPH app privacy: is your personal data secure? The short version: a government super app is a high-value target by definition, so the usual rules apply — official download only, never share your MPIN, and treat any SMS asking for your credentials as a scam.

Getting help

If something breaks, the app has in-app support, and DICT runs help desks and hotlines. We list the working contact routes in how to contact eGovPH support: email, hotline, and help desk. Response times vary — government help desks do — so the troubleshooting guides on this site will usually get you unstuck faster.

FAQ

Is eGovPH free?
Yes. The app and the eGovAI assistant are free for verified users. Any site charging you for "eGovPH registration" is a scam.

Do I need it, or can I still transact in person?
You can still go in person — eGovPH Serbisyo Hubs exist precisely for that. But the app is increasingly the fastest route for renewals and records.

Why does face verification keep failing?
Usually lighting or background. See our face verification troubleshooting guide.

Is there an official eGovPH for PC?
eGovPH is mobile-first (Android and iOS). Use the official store listings; don't install "eGovPH for PC" executables from random sites.

What if my PhilSys ID doesn't appear in the app?
Your records may not be synced yet. Check our PhilSys guide for the fix sequence.

eGovPH is one of the more serious attempts at a government super app anywhere in Southeast Asia — 40 million downloads, 1,000+ integrated systems, and international awards in three years. It still has rough edges: verification hiccups, occasional downtime, and services that aren't all in yet. But for renewals, IDs, and declarations, it's already the shortest path through Philippine bureaucracy.
