Troubleshooting eGovPH: Login, MPIN, and Network Errors
Encountering 'No Internet Connection' errors or login failures on eGovPH? Learn how to troubleshoot common app issues.
As with any large-scale application integrating multiple government databases, users of the eGovPH app may experience technical issues. These can range from egovph login errors to connection timeouts during peak hours. This troubleshooting guide provides clear steps to resolve these common problems.
Common eGovPH Issues and Solutions
1. "No Internet Connection" or Network Timeout Error
This message often appears even if your phone is connected to cellular data or Wi-Fi. How to fix: The app frequently updates its security configurations. Try clearing the app cache (Android) or offloading the app (iOS) and restarting your device. If you are using a VPN, disable it, as the app blocks traffic from external VPN nodes to prevent hacking attempts. If the error occurs during local office hours, the government servers may be overloaded; wait a few hours and try again.
2. Forgot MPIN or Locked Account
You have forgotten your 6-digit MPIN or locked your account after entering it incorrectly. How to fix: Tap the "Forgot PIN" link on the login screen. The app will send an SMS OTP to your registered mobile number. Verify the code, and you will be prompted to create a new MPIN. If your account is locked due to too many login attempts, the block will automatically clear after 30 minutes.
3. "Unable to Load Digital Wallet" or Missing IDs
Your National ID or Driver's license is not appearing in your digital wallet. How to fix: Verify that your account is fully verified. Tap your profile icon to confirm your verification status. If you are verified but the cards fail to load, log out of your account, close the app completely, reopen it, and log back in. This forces the app to download your latest credentials from the PSA/LTO servers.
4. App Crashes Immediately Upon Opening
The app closes or crashes as soon as you tap the icon. How to fix: Ensure you are using the latest version of the app. Check Google Play or the App Store for updates. The app has security measures that prevent it from running on rooted Android devices or jailbroken iPhones. If your phone is rooted, you will need to restore it to standard settings to use the app.
