How to Register and Set Up Your eGovPH Account

A step-by-step registration guide for the eGovPH super app. Learn how to verify your mobile number and set a secure MPIN.

Setting up your egovph registration online profile is the first step toward accessing unified government services on your phone. Because the app manages sensitive credentials like your driver's license and National ID, the registration process requires multiple verification layers. This guide provides a detailed walkthrough to help you register successfully.

Requirements for Registration

Before you begin the sign-up process, make sure you have:

  • A smartphone running Android 8.0 or newer, or iOS 13.0 or newer.
  • A stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data).
  • An active, registered mobile SIM card.
  • A valid physical government ID (such as your National ID or Driver's license) nearby to verify details.

Step-by-Step Registration Guide

Once you have downloaded the official app published by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), follow these steps:

Step 1: Enter Your Mobile Number

Launch the app and input your 10-digit mobile number (excluding the leading 0). Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then check the agreement box and click "Next".

Step 2: Verify Your Number (OTP)

The system will send a 6-digit One-Time Pin (OTP) via SMS. Enter this code on the verification screen within 2 minutes. If the SMS does not arrive, check your cellular signal or request a resend. Do not share this OTP with anyone.

Step 3: Create a 6-Digit MPIN

Set a secure 6-digit Mobile Personal Identification Number (MPIN). This PIN acts as your password and will be required every time you open the app or authorize transactions. Confirm your MPIN by typing it a second time. Avoid simple combinations like 123456 or your birthdate.

Step 4: Enter Personal Profile Details

Provide your basic profile details, including your email address, legal name, gender, and date of birth. Ensure the spellings match your official government documents to prevent registration errors.

Step 5: Set Up Biometrics (Optional)

If your phone supports fingerprint or face recognition, the app will ask if you want to enable biometric login. Enabling this increases security and makes future logins faster.

Next Steps: Verification

Once you complete registration, you will have a "Basic" account. Basic accounts can view government directories but cannot access digital IDs or link social benefit portals. To unlock these features, you must undergo face verification. Follow our guide on eGovPH Face Verification to verify your account.
